Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a feline-only veterinary practice hiring for a Feline Only Veterinarian to join their dedicated and cat-focused team. This role is suited to a veterinarian who is passionate about feline medicine and enjoys working in a clinic exclusively treating cats, delivering high-quality care across a varied general practice caseload.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. The hospital is open Monday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, with the practice closed on Sundays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As a Feline-Only Associate Veterinarian, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate veterinary care exclusively to cats, including preventive health, diagnostics, medical case management, and routine soft-tissue surgery. You will conduct thorough clinical examinations, formulate and implement diagnostic and treatment plans, perform dentistry and surgical procedures within your level of competence, and manage hospitalised patients when required. The role involves interpreting laboratory and imaging results, maintaining accurate clinical records, and providing clear, empathetic communication and education to cat owners. You will work collaboratively with the wider clinical team, uphold excellent clinical and professional standards, and utilise low-stress, cat-focused handling techniques to ensure optimal patient welfare and client experience. The average daily patient volume is approximately 13 patients per DVM, with a caseload consisting of a mix of GP wellness, soft-tissue procedures, and dentistry. The practice is suited to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The practice is equipped with ultrasound, digital radiographs including dental radiography, and in-house laboratory machines for CBC, chemistries, urine testing, and Vcheck, providing in-house quantifiable spec fPL and Cardiopet proBNP testing. The hospital spans over 4,000 square feet and features six beautifully themed exam rooms, with clean, organised, and state-of-the-art equipment to support a high standard of care across a wide variety of cases. The team places a strong emphasis on work-life balance while delivering exceptional customer service, reflected in positive online reviews and strong community trust. Services offered include soft tissue surgery, boarding, grooming, radiology, in-house and travel ultrasound, cold laser therapy, dentistry and dental radiology, as well as a strong focus on pet wellness and preventative care such as vaccinations, microchipping, dental care, behaviour counselling, routine check-ups, laboratory testing, and access to a comprehensive online pharmacy. Additional services include deworming, parasite prevention, nutrition and diet counselling, end-of-life care and euthanasia, diagnostics, and imaging.

Team
The veterinary team consists of three DVMs supported by a highly trained support staff, with an approximate support staff ratio of 3.5 to 1 per DVM. The environment is collaborative and supportive, with a strong focus on teamwork, mentorship, and delivering exceptional feline-only care.
