Our client is a hospital providing care for dogs, cats, reptiles, pocket pets, and small mammals and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and offers the opportunity to provide high-quality veterinary medicine while building lasting client relationships in a collaborative, Fear Free environment. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian looking to continue growing their clinical skills while delivering exceptional patient care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive primary care for a diverse caseload of dogs, cats, reptiles, pocket pets, and small mammals. Responsibilities include performing wellness and sick examinations, diagnosing and treating common medical conditions, carrying out spay and neuter procedures, providing preventative healthcare, interpreting diagnostic testing, and educating clients on maintaining their pets’ long-term health. The successful candidate will work closely with the veterinary team to deliver compassionate, low-stress care while maintaining high clinical standards and supporting the wellbeing of every patient. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
This Fear Free Certified hospital provides primary care for dogs, cats, reptiles, pocket pets, and small mammals throughout the greater Rochester area. The practice is committed to delivering compassionate veterinary care while creating a low-stress experience for patients and clients. Services include wellness and sick examinations, vaccinations, flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, spay and neuter procedures, blood, urine, and faecal testing, dentistry, dental surgery, preventative care, diagnostic imaging, laboratory diagnostics, and end-of-life support. Diagnostic capabilities include laboratory testing together with imaging such as X-rays, CT, MRI, and ultrasound. The hospital operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
