Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing care for dogs and cats and is seeking a Medical Director to join their team. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and offers an experienced veterinarian the opportunity to lead a community-focused hospital dedicated to preventative care, high-quality medicine, and compassionate patient care. Working alongside the practice manager and leadership team, the Medical Director will help shape the hospital’s vision while fostering a positive culture and supporting continued clinical excellence.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will provide clinical leadership while helping drive the continued growth and success of the hospital. Responsibilities include partnering with the Practice Manager and leadership team to develop strategies, implement improvements, maintain high standards of patient and client care, and support the professional development of the hospital team. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of preventative veterinary care, vaccinations, and high-quality spay and neuter services while ensuring exceptional clinical standards are maintained. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian with strong leadership skills and a passion for community-focused veterinary medicine.

Practice Details
This community-focused veterinary hospital provides preventative healthcare for dogs and cats throughout the greater Rochester area. The practice specialises in high-quality spay and neuter procedures and vaccination services, delivering compassionate, affordable care to the local community, including low-income pet owners and pet rescue and adoption organisations. The hospital is dedicated to improving animal health through preventative medicine, owner education, and accessible veterinary care while maintaining a strong commitment to public health through its vaccination clinics. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Team
The Medical Director will work closely with the Practice Manager and leadership team to support a collaborative hospital environment focused on delivering compassionate, high-quality care while developing and supporting the clinical team.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
