Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing care for cats and dogs and is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team in Rochester, New York. This small animal general practice is dedicated to delivering comprehensive veterinary care through wellness services, sick patient care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and behavioural medicine. The hospital promotes a positive and supportive work environment focused on professional development, strong client relationships, and exceptional patient care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide medical care for canine and feline patients across a range of wellness and illness appointments. Responsibilities include performing wellness examinations, managing sick and illness cases, delivering preventative healthcare recommendations, supporting diagnostic investigations, and providing surgical and dental care. The role also involves behavioural medicine, client communication, and building strong relationships with pet owners while maintaining high standards of patient care. This position is intended for experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
This full-service small animal hospital provides primary care and behavioural services for dogs and cats. Services offered include pet wellness and sickness examinations, vaccinations, heartworm prevention, flea and tick prevention, blood, urine and faecal testing, diagnostic testing, and end-of-life care. The practice is committed to supporting both the physical health and emotional wellbeing of patients while helping strengthen the bond between pets and their owners. The hospital operates with a progressive approach to veterinary medicine and is guided by values centred around trust, care, learning, growth, accountability, and communication. Hospital hours are Monday and Tuesday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Wednesday and Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
