Job Description

Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited and Cat Friendly Certified hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their multi-doctor team. This small animal practice provides care for dogs and cats within a modern 3,800 sq. ft. facility and has an excellent reputation in the community, attracting referrals from local emergency hospitals, surrounding clinics, and rural practices.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, while closed on Sundays. The full-time schedule is four days per week with a rotating half-day on Saturday. There are no on-call requirements, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a wide variety of general practice cases including wellness and preventive care, dentistry, internal medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology, and surgical procedures. The hospital regularly handles chronic disease management and benefits from referral potential across Southern Minnesota and Northeastern Iowa due to its location. With advanced diagnostics and imaging on-site, doctors have the opportunity to expand their skills in areas such as surgical and therapy laser use and advanced dental care. The role is open to veterinarians of all experience levels, with strong support available for professional development.

Practice Details
The hospital features a spacious surgical suite, six exam rooms, and a dedicated ultrasound room. It is equipped with DR radiology, surgical laser, therapy laser, two updated dental stations, and ultrasound. Services include advanced dentistry, internal medicine, surgery, rehabilitation, dermatology, oncology, cardiology, endoscopy, and preventive care. Additional offerings include pain management, in-house laboratory and pharmacy, hospitalization, intensive care, house calls, and pet loss support. The facility’s established presence and trusted reputation have made it a key provider for the community and surrounding areas.

Team
The hospital is staffed by five DVMs supported by certified veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, and client service representatives. The environment is collaborative, well-trained, and team-oriented, ensuring that veterinarians are supported in delivering the highest standard of care while fostering professional growth.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
