Job Description

Introduction
An AAHA Accredited small animal and exotics hospital located in a bucolic town in Western Connecticut is seeking a part-time, compassionate, and adaptable DVM to join its 8-doctor practice. The hospital provides premium care, encouraged by its clientele to offer and perform the best medicine available. In addition to high-level orthopedic and general surgeries, the team includes a proficient DVM ultrasonographer, a DVM laser acupuncturist, and an experienced exotics DVM.

Working Hours / Schedule
Part-time or full-time opportunities available, with full-time veterinarians working a 4-day work week.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality medical care across small animal and exotics caseloads, working alongside a highly skilled and collaborative team. The practice prides itself on providing top-level medicine and a one-on-one, personalized experience for clients and their companions.

Practice Details
The facility and staff are second to none, striving for exceptional standards of care. The hospital is AAHA Accredited, exemplifying the highest standard of veterinary excellence. Services include comprehensive wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite prevention, advanced dental care and dental radiology, diagnostic testing, advanced diagnostic imaging, pet surgeries ranging from routine procedures to complex operations, spay and neuter services, and pet microchipping for permanent identification.

Team
The collaborative 8-doctor team includes specialists in ultrasonography, laser acupuncture, orthopedics, general surgery, and exotic animal medicine, supported by a talented and dedicated support staff.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
