Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a small animal veterinary hospital that is currently seeking a Surgery and Dentistry–Focused Veterinarian to join its highly specialised and growing team. This unique role is designed for an experienced veterinarian who is passionate about delivering high-quality surgical and dental care for cats and dogs in a focused, well-supported environment. The hospital offers an exceptional opportunity to refine advanced skills, work with high case volume, and practice medicine without the pressures commonly associated with traditional general practice.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and is closed from Friday through Sunday. This role offers an excellent Monday–Thursday schedule with no required nights or weekends, supporting outstanding work-life balance. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available. Optional, compensated emergency shifts may be offered but are never required, allowing complete flexibility and control over your schedule.
Role Description and Responsibilities
In this role, you will focus exclusively on surgery and dentistry, managing a high-volume caseload that allows you to continuously grow, refine, and expand your clinical skill set. You will confidently perform a wide range of soft tissue surgical procedures and interpret dental radiographs while carrying out multi-rooted dental extractions with proficiency. The hospital operates under a fixed-price care model, eliminating financial pressure and enabling you to focus solely on delivering the highest standard of care for each patient. You will work collaboratively with referring veterinarians who manage pre- and post-operative care, allowing you to concentrate fully on procedural excellence. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian with a minimum of two years post-graduation experience who is eager to advance their surgical and dental expertise.
Practice Details
The hospital features a fantastic setup designed specifically to support surgical and dental procedures efficiently and safely. The practice offers a wide range of surgical and dental services, including over 40 low-cost procedures, such as amputations, caesarean sections, ophthalmic surgeries, and more. This focused service model allows for high-quality outcomes while maintaining accessibility for clients, without compromising on patient care or clinical standards.
Team
You will join a dedicated team of two experienced DVMs who share a strong commitment to surgical excellence and collaboration. The veterinary team is supported by a fantastic group of skilled support staff who ensure smooth workflows, excellent patient care, and an efficient surgical environment. This close-knit team structure allows for collaboration, consistency, and professional satisfaction.
