Our client is a full-service small animal hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their highly respected and community-trusted team. They provide veterinary care for dogs and cats and have been proudly serving the Richmond area since 2014. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with Sundays closed. The role can accommodate full-time or part-time scheduling, with no additional after-hours required outside of these operating hours.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves delivering high-quality small animal medicine across wellness and preventative care, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, and senior pet health. The position emphasizes relationship-based care, clear communication, and strong client support, particularly during urgent or stressful situations. You will practice in an environment that values empathy as much as medical expertise, supported by digital tools that streamline communication and enhance workflow efficiency. This position is open to both new graduates and experienced doctors, with robust mentorship available to support early-career veterinarians.

Practice Details
The practice provides comprehensive veterinary services including wellness care, surgery, dental care, diagnostics, and senior health support. They also engage in animal rescue initiatives and manage complex medical cases with a proactive, client-centered approach. Modern digital platforms are used to enhance client communication and improve workflow, allowing pet owners to request appointments and manage prescriptions outside business hours. Team
The practice is home to 8 DVMs supported by a brilliant and dedicated team of paraprofessionals. The working environment is collaborative, compassionate, and committed to helping each veterinarian succeed while maintaining an exceptional standard of care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
