Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital looking to hire an Associate Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis. Providing veterinary care for cats and dogs, this established small animal clinic has been serving the Richardson community since 1989. The opportunity offers the chance to join a long-standing practice with an established presence in the local community while contributing to the continued delivery of high-quality veterinary care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, providing the opportunity to manage a varied medical and surgical caseload with autonomy over clinical decision-making, diagnostics, treatment planning, and ongoing case management. You’ll work across general medicine, surgery, and dentistry, utilizing the hospital’s diagnostic capabilities to support effective case management and consistently high standards of patient care. You’ll work collaboratively with the wider clinical team, contributing to effective workflows and continuity of care while developing strong relationships with clients. Specific doctor hours will be discussed during the process. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian looking to join an established small animal practice.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services, alongside pet boarding. The practice is equipped with, but not limited to, Digital Radiography, Digital Dental Radiography, an In-House Laboratory, and a Tonopen, supporting its varied medical, diagnostic, dental, and surgical caseload. The hospital is open Monday and Tuesday from 7:45 AM to 5:30 PM, closed Wednesday, open Thursday and Friday from 7:45 AM to 5:30 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The hospital is closed on Sundays.

Team
You’ll be joining a 1-DVM hospital, supported by experienced clinical and client service professionals with clearly defined roles designed to promote effective teamwork and strong clinical workflows. The hospital includes long-tenured team members and places an emphasis on shared knowledge, continued learning, and maintaining a supportive environment where veterinarians can continue developing professionally.
