Job Description

Introduction
This AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Renton, Washington is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its three-doctor team. The practice provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats and has built longstanding relationships with local pet owners, including multiple generations of families who continue to use the hospital. The team places a strong emphasis on high-quality medicine, collaborative working and developing lasting relationships between veterinarians and their clients.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and is closed at weekends. The practice closes from 12:00pm to 1:00pm each day for a dedicated lunch break, with an extended closure from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Tuesdays to provide protected time for staff education and development.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you’ll provide comprehensive general practice medicine across a canine and feline caseload, including preventative care, diagnostics, dentistry, anaesthesia, surgery and medical case management. You’ll manage your own cases while collaborating closely with the Principal Doctor, Practice Manager and wider support team, with an emphasis on clear client communication and continuity of care. The position also provides opportunities to contribute to the development of support staff, with veterinarians earlier in their careers given time to build their experience before taking on additional training and leadership responsibilities.

The practice combines comprehensive small animal medicine with a strong focus on professional development, including dedicated weekly staff education time. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
