Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a small animal practice seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team, offering opportunities for both full-time and part-time positions working with dogs and cats.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care, including wellness exams, preventative care, internal medicine, and surgical procedures. Daily duties include diagnosing and treating a range of conditions, performing routine and advanced surgeries such as spays and neuters, providing dental care and dental x-rays, and managing cases involving dermatology, geriatric medicine, and intensive care. The role also involves client communication, treatment planning, and ensuring high standards of patient care. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays. It is equipped with digital radiology, ultrasound, and an in-office surgical suite, alongside an in-house pharmacy and facilities supporting hospitalization, intensive care, and isolation. Services offered include dermatology, soft tissue surgery, anesthesia, dentistry, internal medicine, pain management, and a full range of preventive care such as vaccinations, parasite control, microchipping, and wellness exams. The practice supports a flexible and individualized approach to medicine, allowing veterinarians to focus on patient needs while benefiting from a broader support network.
Team
The team consists of 4 DVMs and a great tenured support team, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
