Job Description

Introduction
A veterinary hospital in Reno, Nevada is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join a supportive, growth-focused team. This modern facility provides a diverse caseload ranging from general practice to urgent care and surgery, with a strong emphasis on mentorship, client education, and professional development.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is currently open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, with plans to expand to weekend hours and urgent care services. This is a full-time position with a balanced schedule designed to support work-life harmony.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and urgent care services. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions, performing surgeries, prescribing medications, developing treatment plans, and educating clients on preventive health. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
