Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team, providing care for small animals. The hospital is looking for a veterinarian who is passionate about delivering high-quality medicine while supporting the wellbeing of pets and building strong relationships with clients.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for providing high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care to a varied caseload of patients. The role involves conducting thorough examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing appropriate treatment plans. Responsibilities include performing routine surgical procedures, delivering preventive care and vaccinations, managing medical cases, prescribing medications, and maintaining accurate medical records in line with regulatory standards. You will communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, ensuring pet owners understand diagnoses, treatment options, and ongoing care requirements. Collaboration with the wider clinical team is an essential part of the role to ensure efficient and effective patient care, while ongoing professional development is encouraged to maintain and enhance clinical excellence. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

You will be joining an established clinic with a stable and experienced team that includes four dedicated DVMs. The veterinarians are supported by a strong team of support staff who work collaboratively to maintain efficient workflows, high standards of patient care, and a supportive working environment where teamwork and communication are highly valued

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
