Job Description

Introduction
A brand-new veterinary hospital opening in downtown Redmond in late Fall 2026 is looking to hire an Associate Veterinarian to join its opening team. The hospital will provide care for cats and dogs, with this opportunity offering something a little different from joining an already established practice. As one of the hospital’s first veterinarians, you’ll have the chance to be there from the beginning and play a genuine part in shaping the culture, standards of care, and overall patient and client experience as the practice becomes established within the local community.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, with a varied mix of preventative, medical, surgical, and dental cases. You’ll have plenty of freedom to make the clinical decisions you feel are right for your patients, from diagnostics and treatment planning through to ongoing case management, while having the wider resources and support of an established veterinary group behind you. Being part of an opening team also means having the opportunity to contribute ideas and help shape how the hospital develops, rather than simply stepping into an existing way of doing things. The position offers a flexible schedule with no on-call requirement, and there’s room to bring an existing clinical interest to the practice or continue developing an area you’d particularly like to pursue. Applications are welcomed from both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, making this an opportunity for someone who wants to grow alongside a new hospital while still having plenty of support around them.

Practice Details
The hospital is a completely new veterinary facility in the heart of downtown Redmond, with its opening planned for late Fall 2026. As the location is still being established, specific hospital opening hours and an individual equipment list have not yet been published. The wider approach behind the hospital is centred around modern veterinary medicine, technology, and creating a more comfortable experience for both patients and their owners, while still keeping the personal feel and community connection of a neighborhood veterinary practice.

Team
You’ll be joining the opening team, giving you the chance to build relationships with your colleagues from day one and have a real influence on the working environment the hospital develops. The wider veterinary culture places a strong emphasis on teamwork, mentorship, continued education, and making sure people feel supported in their roles. Cooperation and mutual respect are encouraged across the clinical and support teams, with veterinarians expected to share knowledge, talk through cases, help colleagues when needed, and contribute to an environment where everyone can continue learning. For someone who enjoys being part of a close team and likes the idea of helping create a positive hospital culture from the ground up, there’s plenty of opportunity to make this role their own.
