Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited small animal practice. The clinic provides care for companion animals and is looking for a veterinarian to work across a varied caseload within a collaborative and supportive environment that emphasizes high-quality, progressive medicine.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates seven days per week from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm. This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities with a rotating weekend schedule and no overnight on-call requirements, supporting a balanced and flexible working pattern.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering a wide range of clinical services including wellness and preventative care, diagnostics, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry. The role includes a mix of general practice cases during the week alongside urgent care and same-day sick cases, particularly on weekends. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, performing procedures, communicating effectively with clients, and working collaboratively with the wider team to ensure continuity of care. The position supports both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, offering mentorship and opportunities to develop clinical interests within a varied and engaging caseload.

Practice Details
The hospital is an AAHA-accredited facility with additional Fear Free and Feline Friendly certifications, reflecting a commitment to low-stress, high-quality patient care. The practice is equipped with advanced technology including a dedicated dental suite, ultrasound, cold and therapeutic laser, and a rehabilitation area featuring an underwater treadmill, supported by a rehabilitation-certified technician. Services include preventative care, diagnostics, internal medicine, general surgery, dentistry with dental radiography, rehabilitation, and urgent care. The practice promotes efficient workflows, access to advanced diagnostics, and strong referral partnerships to support comprehensive patient care.

Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs supported by an experienced and collaborative support staff, creating a positive, team-oriented environment focused on mentorship, professional growth, and delivering excellent standards of care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
