Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing full-service veterinary care and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This opportunity is open to both full-time and part-time candidates within a well-established practice offering a diverse caseload and a strong focus on high-quality medicine and continuity of care.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Tuesday to Thursday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, and Saturday to Sunday 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. The role offers flexible scheduling with both full-time and part-time options, with weekend coverage included as part of the rota.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups, carry out diagnostic procedures and surgery, and maintain accurate medical records. Responsibilities include client communication and education, prescribing medications in line with controlled substance protocols, and promoting teamwork and staff efficiency. The role also involves working closely with the Hospital Manager on priorities, monitoring cases to uphold clinical standards, participating in rounds, and contributing to ongoing training and hospital operations. This position is suited to experienced veterinarians.

This is a well-established, full-service hospital offering a diverse caseload including wellness and preventive care, surgery, dentistry, and urgent cases. The practice is equipped with modern in-house diagnostics and technology, supporting efficient clinical decision-making and high-quality patient outcomes. Additional services include vaccinations and prevention, wellness exams, internal medicine, dental care, geriatric care, puppy and kitten care, emergency care, soft tissue surgery, spaying and neutering, dental surgery, C-sections, ocular surgery, mass removal, foreign body procedures, and wound repair. The hospital currently has 1 DVM and a great tenured support team, creating a supportive and collaborative environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
