Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team on a full or part-time basis, working with dogs and cats in a well-established small animal practice.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality care across a range of general practice services, including wellness and preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, and urgent care. Daily responsibilities include examining patients, diagnosing and treating conditions, performing surgical procedures, and developing comprehensive treatment plans. You will also focus on building strong client relationships, educating pet owners, maintaining accurate medical records, and collaborating closely with the wider team to deliver excellent patient outcomes. This role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
This is a long-established small animal hospital that has been serving the community since 1975, with a strong reputation within the community. The practice provides a full spectrum of services including wellness and prevention, testing and diagnostics, advanced care, surgical procedures, and urgent care. The facility is described as state-of-the-art, clean, comfortable, and efficient, supporting high-quality medicine and a varied caseload from routine to more complex cases. The hospital operates Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and is closed on weekends.

Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative and supportive working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
