Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a practice providing veterinary care for dogs, cats, and exotics in the Greater Providence, Rhode Island area. They are seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and provides routine and specialty services within a modern, fully equipped clinical environment.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive veterinary care including wellness examinations, vaccinations, diagnostics, medical treatment, dentistry, surgery including spays and neuters, radiology, ultrasonography, parasite prevention, microchipping, nutritional counseling, pain management, and puppy and kitten care. The role also provides access to weekly in-house ACVIM and ACVS consultations, with nearby referral specialists and emergency clinics available when required. This position is specifically for an experienced veterinarian.
Practice Details
The practice is a full-service veterinary facility that opened in 2000 and provides both routine and specialty services. The facilities are newer, bright, and equipped with in-house diagnostic capabilities, an in-house laboratory, ultrasonography, radiology, and tonometry. Additional services include dental care, surgical services, acupuncture, medication dispensing, preventive care, and wellness programs. The practice also partners with local shelters to support adoption and affordable spay and neuter programs.
Team
The practice has two DVMs and a great tenured support team. The wider veterinary group consists of three hospitals and ten veterinarians serving the Greater Providence area and surrounding Massachusetts towns, supported by trained and loyal veterinary staff.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
