Job Description
Introduction
An Associate Veterinarian is needed to join a full-service, AAHA-accredited hospital in Prescott, Arizona. The hospital has ten veterinarians supported by a strong and experienced team. Recognized as one of USA Today’s and Newsweek’s America’s Best Animal Hospitals for 2025, and previously awarded AAHA’s Practice of the Year, this hospital has earned a national reputation for excellence in veterinary medicine.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Saturday from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm and on Sundays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Scheduling is flexible, with opportunities for mentorship, professional development, and work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for companion animals. Responsibilities include wellness and preventive medicine, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and client education. Building strong relationships with patients and their families is central to the role. New graduates are encouraged to apply and will benefit from structured mentorship programs.

The hospital is a state-of-the-art facility offering a full range of services, including advanced diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and an intensive care unit. Equipment includes in-house laboratory, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, and ultrasound. The hospital is AAHA-accredited and committed to maintaining the highest standards of veterinary care while supporting a diverse and dynamic caseload.
Team
The incoming doctor will join a team of ten veterinarians and a skilled support staff dedicated to collaboration, growth, and compassionate patient care. The hospital fosters a positive culture, offering structured mentorship for new graduates and continuing education opportunities for all doctors.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
