Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a practice seeking a Large Animal Veterinarian to join their team. This is a full-time position working across a large animal caseload including dairy, beef and swine. The practice is growing and offers an opportunity to work within a well-established, multi-doctor team focused on delivering high-quality care to a diverse client base.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a broad range of clinical services across large animal patients. Clinical responsibilities include preventative medicine, diagnostics, surgery, and client education, with a strong emphasis on herd health, nutrition, and overall animal wellbeing. The role also involves on-call responsibilities shared among the veterinary team. Doctor hours follow a full-time schedule. This position is open to veterinarians at all career stages.
Practice Details
The practice operates from a well-equipped facility featuring a heated haul-in area with a working chute and hydraulic tilt table, calf ICU, surgery pens, and an in-house laboratory with CBC and chemistry machines. Additional equipment includes digital x-ray, gas anesthesia, electro-ejaculators, multiple chutes, and ultrasound units for on-farm use. Services offered include preventative medicine, diagnostics, surgery, and comprehensive veterinary care across multiple species. The practice emphasizes high standards of care, modern equipment, professional development, and a supportive, client-focused environment. The practice as a whole sees a mixed caseload of Dairy (40%), Beef (30%), Small Animal (20%), Swine (5%), Small Ruminant (5%).
Team
The team consists of seven DVMs supported by an office manager, two customer service representatives, two technicians, and one veterinary assistant, creating a collaborative and well-supported environment focused on teamwork and high-quality service.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
