Introduction
This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate Veterinarian to join an AAHA-accredited, Fear Free–focused small animal hospital delivering high-quality care in Portland, Oregon. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm and is closed at weekends. The full-time rota is structured as four 10-hour shifts per week, with dedicated lunch breaks and built-in charting time. This predictable weekday-only schedule supports a strong work–life balance while maintaining continuity of care for patients.

Role Description and Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide comprehensive small animal medical care for dogs and cats, managing cases from routine wellness through diagnostics and treatment. You will build trusted relationships with clients through clear, compassionate communication and work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high clinical standards. The position supports ongoing learning and professional growth, making it well suited to veterinarians who enjoy collaboration, teaching, and continuous development.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with modern veterinary technology designed to support safe, efficient, and high-quality medicine. AAHA accreditation underpins all clinical protocols, with a strong emphasis on patient safety, hands-free radiology, and Fear Free handling techniques. The focus is on thoughtful, thorough medicine rather than high-volume throughput, allowing clinicians to practise confidently and consistently.

Team
You will be joining a collaborative team of four veterinarians, supported by skilled technicians and support staff. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
