Job Description
Introduction
An AAHA-accredited hospital in Portland, Oregon is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its three-doctor team. This well-established practice is preparing for expansion and is looking for a motivated veterinarian who is excited to help shape the future of the clinic while providing exceptional patient care.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. It is closed on Sundays. The schedule typically consists of a four-day work week with rotating Saturdays.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care while building lasting client relationships. Key responsibilities include performing diagnostics and treatments, developing treatment plans, educating clients on preventative health care, maintaining accurate medical records, and collaborating with the support team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with electronic medical records, in-house diagnostics, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, and laser therapy. Plans for facility expansion will allow for increased capacity and advanced procedures. The practice emphasizes mentorship, teamwork, and supporting doctors to work at the top of their license.
Team
The team consists of three veterinarians supported by skilled technicians and staff. The culture is positive, collaborative, and fun, with a focus on mentorship, laughter, and team support.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
