Job Description

Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited small animal hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its team on a flexible full-time or part-time basis. The hospital offers a diverse caseload spanning general practice, urgent care, emergency medicine, surgery, and advanced diagnostics, with an established and loyal client base.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will practice across wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, urgent care and same-day appointments, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, chronic disease management, emergency medicine, and advanced diagnostic imaging and procedures. There are also opportunities to perform advanced soft tissue and orthopedic procedures. Appointments are typically scheduled for 20–30+ minutes, allowing doctors time to provide thoughtful patient care. Veterinarians have medical autonomy with access to collaborative case discussions, mentorship, and Lead DVM support. Doctor hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM by appointment only, with Sunday closed.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA accredited and equipped with ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiography, and laser surgery capabilities. Services include wellness examinations and plans, vaccinations and parasite prevention, reproductive services, dermatology and allergy care, emergency treatment, routine and complex surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, urgent care, same-day appointments, advanced diagnostics, chronic disease management, international health certificates, boarding, doggy daycare, and grooming. The practice supports flexible scheduling and work-life balance while providing the technology and infrastructure needed to manage a broad range of general practice, urgent, emergency, medical, and surgical cases.

Team
The hospital has four DVMs supported by experienced technicians, including dedicated room assistants and treatment technicians. The team has a collaborative culture with dedicated Lead DVM support, mentorship, and opportunities for case discussion and second opinions. Veterinarians are supported in maintaining medical autonomy while working within an experienced team.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
