Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing care for cats, dogs, and exotics and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality veterinary medicine in a collaborative, supportive environment with a strong focus on compassionate patient care and lasting client relationships. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care through patient examinations, diagnostics, surgery, and client education while maintaining the highest standards of veterinary medicine. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic procedures and surgery, maintaining accurate medical records, prescribing medications in accordance with controlled substance protocols, monitoring hospitalised patients, participating in daily rounds, and helping ensure hospital protocols are maintained from patient intake through discharge. The successful candidate will work closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Director, contribute to practice management initiatives, promote teamwork and staff efficiency, and support the continued delivery of exceptional patient and client care. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
This full-service hospital has been serving the local community for more than 40 years, providing personalised veterinary care for cats, dogs, birds, exotic mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory services, and a well-maintained surgical suite, supporting a varied general practice caseload. Services include routine examinations, vaccinations and preventative care, internal medicine, dental care, surgery, emergency care, diagnostics, and care for a wide range of exotic species including birds, parrots, finches, canaries, backyard poultry, ferrets, rabbits, pot-bellied pigs, guinea pigs, chinchillas, hamsters, gerbils, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, lizards, turtles, tortoises, snakes, and amphibians. The practice is known for its collaborative, team-focused culture and longstanding client relationships. Hospital hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and the hospital is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Team
The hospital is supported by a team of 5 DVMs and a great tenured support team. Veterinarians work closely with experienced technicians, support staff, the Hospital Manager, and the Regional Director in a collaborative environment that values teamwork, communication, and high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
