Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a group of three full-service small animal hospitals in Rockland County, NY. They are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their dedicated team.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospitals are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. They are closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule and minimal weekend hours, with Saturday shifts only on rotation.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves providing comprehensive veterinary care with responsibilities across surgery, dentistry, wellness and preventive medicine, internal medicine, emergencies, geriatrics, and care for puppies and kittens. The position is open to experienced veterinarians.
Practice Details
The hospitals are fully equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, surgery suites, and in-house laboratory capabilities. Additional diagnostic tools include cardiac workups, tonometry, and ECG/EKG. Services offered include vaccinations and preventive care, routine exams, internal medicine, emergency care, dental care, surgery, geriatric care, and care tailored for puppies and kittens.
Team
The team includes 2 DVMs supported by an excellent staff-to-doctor ratio with tenured technicians, creating a collaborative working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
