Job Description

Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its team on either a full-time or part-time basis. The practice provides comprehensive companion-animal care primarily for dogs and cats, with additional services available for rabbits, pocket pets, birds and reptiles. The hospital offers a broad mix of preventative, medical, surgical and urgent care, giving veterinarians the opportunity to practice varied medicine while developing their own clinical interests.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical and surgical care across a varied caseload, including wellness and preventative medicine, internal medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, urgent care, senior care, chronic disease management and client education. Surgical responsibilities may include routine and advanced soft-tissue procedures, spay and neuter, mass removals, dental surgery, cystotomy and vulvoplasty. The role also provides exposure to laser therapy, pain management, physical rehabilitation, ophthalmology, cardiology, orthopedics and exotic animal care. Applications are welcomed from both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. New graduates have access to a structured one-year mentorship program with a dedicated Clinical Mentor, regular mentor meetings, goal-setting and communication coaching, alongside a five-day Surgical Mentorship Program and two-day Dental Wet Lab. Experienced veterinarians are supported with clinical autonomy, continuing education and opportunities to further develop their individual areas of interest.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday and Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Thursday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. The AAHA-accredited facility includes modern exam rooms, digital radiology, ultrasound, in-house laboratory capabilities, a pharmacy, a fully equipped surgical suite, comprehensive dental capabilities and advanced anesthesia monitoring. Services include wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, dentistry, dermatology, diagnostics, surgery, urgent care during regular business hours, nutritional counselling, parasite prevention, microchipping, senior care, laser therapy, behavior therapy, cardiology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, physical rehabilitation, pain management, cryotherapy and care for rabbits, pocket pets and other exotic species. Veterinarians also have access to board-certified specialist consultation for complex cases when additional expertise is required.

Team
The hospital has six DVMs supported by an experienced technical and support team that assists across diagnostics, anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, surgery, treatments, laboratory work and client education. The environment emphasizes collaboration, compassion, mentorship and continuous learning, with veterinarians and support staff working closely together to deliver personalized, high-quality care. Doctors are encouraged to share knowledge, pursue their individual clinical interests and continue developing professionally within a supportive team structure.
