Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a full-service veterinary medical hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. They provide comprehensive veterinary care for cats and dogs, offering services ranging from routine exams and vaccinations to dental care, internal medicine, nutritional and behavioral coaching, and surgery. They have been delivering compassionate veterinary care since 1978 and are dedicated to providing exceptional service in a relaxed, comfortable, and friendly environment. They are seeking a compassionate and skilled Associate Veterinarian who is passionate about high-quality care and strong client communication. The incoming doctor will work alongside experienced veterinarians, technicians and support staff.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. The position is available full time.

Role Description and Responsibilities
Clinical responsibilities include comprehensive patient exams, medical work-ups, diagnostic procedures, surgery, client communication and education, maintaining medical records, pharmacy duties including prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols, promoting teamwork, and supporting hospital operations from intake to discharge. The role includes performing elective and non-elective surgeries such as soft tissue surgery, spaying and neutering, and dental surgery.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with an in-house diagnostics lab offering advanced diagnostic testing, digital radiography, digital dental x-rays, bloodwork, urinalysis, and ECG/EKG. Facilities and services include routine exams, vaccinations and prevention, internal medicine, surgery, dental care, chiropractic services, geriatric care, dermatology, health certificates for travel, and care for puppies and kittens. As a full-service hospital, they offer complete medical care for cats and dogs and are recognized with a Neighborhood Favorite Award.

Team
The hospital team consists of 3 DVMs and 10 support staff, including 7 technical staff members, working together in a collaborative and compassionate environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
