Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join and help lead its growing practice. The hospital provides high-quality, progressive, and individualized care for dogs and cats. This opportunity is ideal for a compassionate, team-oriented veterinarian who is looking to advance their career within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open on Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is closed on Wednesday and Sunday, and is open only on select Saturdays throughout the year.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role includes delivering high-quality, progressive medical care with responsibilities across preventative care, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and diagnostic imaging. The ideal candidate will be friendly, personable, and a strong team player. The position is open to experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with a supportive environment designed to promote growth.

The hospital provides advanced medical and diagnostic capabilities to support individualized patient care. It offers a wide range of services, including wellness care, dental care, surgical services, diagnostics, end of life care, laboratory services, microchipping, nutritional support, a pharmacy, and urgent care. Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
