Job Description
Introduction
Our client is an independently run and owned practice seeking an Associate Veterinarian. The clinic sees a wide variety of species including small animals, large animals, zoo animals, horses, reptiles, birds, and more. They are open to an Associate who is willing to see any species that comes through the door, while also welcoming applicants who prefer to treat small animals only.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Saturday. There are no on-call hours, and the team does not answer the phone after 5 pm. Doctors may stay to finish emergency cases as needed. Both full-time and part-time options are available.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role includes seeing a wide range of species, handling emergencies, and performing a high volume of surgeries. An interest in surgery is essential, and mentorship is available for those interested in orthopedic procedures. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.
Practice Details
The practice is very well equipped with digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, three ultrasounds, lasers, a CT scanner with high-definition fluoroscopy, a comprehensive Idexx laboratory, an endoscope, and four anesthesia machines. The hospital performs a large amount of surgery and sees a diverse caseload across all species. The environment is supportive, with opportunities for surgical growth and mentorship.
Team
The team consists of two DVMs who see all species, supported by a strong support staff.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
