Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital in Pico Rivera, California, seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their cohesive and collaborative team. This beautifully remodeled hospital has served the local community for over 50 years, offering a supportive environment and modern facilities for experienced veterinarians.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open seven days a week, with operating hours from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Friday through Sunday. The role can be tailored for full-time or part-time candidates and includes a flexible schedule to support work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage general wellness, preventive care, diagnostics, and surgery, with opportunities for mentorship in orthopedic and advanced surgical procedures from the Medical Director.

Practice Details
This full-service facility provides a wide range of services including preventive care, surgery, dental care, and acupuncture. The in-house diagnostics lab supports digital radiography, ultrasound, surgical lasers, ECG/EKG, and digital dental x-rays. The culture is rooted in long-term community service and clinical excellence, fostering a supportive and dependable environment for both pets and professionals.

Team
The hospital is staffed by three DVMs and a team of experienced, long-term support staff. The environment is highly collaborative with strong internal mentorship, especially in advanced surgical procedures.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
