Introduction
Our client is a full-service mixed animal hospital located in Picayune, Mississippi, seeking a Part-Time Associate Veterinarian to join their friendly and dedicated team. The hospital provides exceptional veterinary care to both small and large animals, including dogs, cats, horses, cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs. With a long-standing reputation for compassionate, high-quality medicine, this role is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys variety in their caseload and values a supportive, community-focused work environment.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling options available. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with the clinic closed on Sundays. There are no after-hours or on-call requirements, allowing for excellent work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide medical, surgical, and dental care for small animals while also having the opportunity to work with large animals if desired. Daily responsibilities include routine wellness and preventative exams, diagnostics, dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, and internal medicine. The hospital welcomes veterinarians of all experience levels, offering mentorship and collaboration with an experienced team for those seeking professional development. This position suits a veterinarian who values client education, continuity of care, and hands-on medicine within a supportive team.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment tools, including digital radiology, ultrasound, cold laser therapy, thermal imaging, and an in-house laboratory. Facilities include a dental suite, surgical suite, and boarding facilities. The team places a strong emphasis on preventive health, client communication, and building lasting relationships within the local community. Their comprehensive services range from routine exams, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and internal medicine to large animal and geriatric care.

Team
The hospital has a team of three veterinarians supported by a skilled and compassionate group of technicians and support staff. The team culture is collaborative, family-oriented, and focused on providing excellent patient care while maintaining a positive and enjoyable working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
