Job Description
Introduction
A well-established four-doctor small animal hospital in East Phoenix is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative and community-focused team. Located in the vibrant Arcadia Lite area, this practice has built a strong local reputation for delivering high-quality medicine in a welcoming, client-centered environment. With a modern facility and an emphasis on patient comfort, the hospital offers an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who values both clinical standards and strong client relationships.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position within a hospital that operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays. The schedule supports consistency and structure while allowing for collaboration across a four-doctor team. Saturday coverage is shared, ensuring balanced weekend commitments.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care to canine and feline patients. Responsibilities include conducting thorough examinations, developing diagnostic and treatment plans, performing routine and advanced procedures, and maintaining accurate medical records in compliance with state regulations and hospital standards. Strong client communication is central to the role, with an emphasis on educating pet owners and fostering long-term trust. You will collaborate closely with the Principal Doctor and Practice Manager to uphold medical quality, contribute to hospital development initiatives, and support a positive, efficient team culture. The role also involves mentoring support staff where appropriate and participating in community engagement efforts that strengthen the hospital’s local presence.
Practice Details
This purpose-built small animal hospital features six exam rooms, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, and therapeutic laser capabilities. Separate dog and cat entrances help create a low-stress environment for patients, and the layout is designed to promote smooth workflow and efficient case management. The hospital maintains high clinical standards and is equipped to manage a wide range of preventive, diagnostic, and surgical cases in-house, allowing veterinarians to practice confidently with strong technical support.
Team
You will join a team of four veterinarians supported by experienced technicians, assistants, and client service representatives who work together to deliver consistent, compassionate care. The culture is collaborative and communicative, with a shared commitment to patient wellbeing, professional accountability, and ongoing development. The hospital benefits from being part of a wider supportive network while retaining its local identity and clinical autonomy.
