The practice provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats within a well-equipped clinical environment, with opportunities across general medicine, surgery and dentistry. Both experienced veterinarians and newer graduates can be considered, with clinical development and support available as doctors build their skills and interests.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:30pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm, with Sundays closed. Full-time status is available from 30 hours per week, including the option of a three-day working week, providing flexibility around how the veterinarian’s schedule is structured.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you’ll provide comprehensive small animal medicine, managing patients across preventative care, diagnostics, medical case management, anaesthesia, surgery and dentistry. You’ll build long-term client relationships, maintain clear medical records and work closely with the wider clinical team to provide consistent patient care. The position also offers opportunities to contribute to the development of support staff and hospital initiatives, with newer graduates able to take on these responsibilities gradually as their experience and confidence develop.

The hospital currently has a three-doctor team and provides care exclusively for canine and feline patients. The facility includes six examination rooms alongside digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound and laser therapy, supporting a broad general practice caseload and procedural work. The clinical environment places an emphasis on teamwork, continued professional development and giving veterinarians the resources to develop their medical, surgical and dental skills.
