Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This is a full-time position working with small animals, specifically dogs and cats. The practice offers a collaborative, team-focused environment with a strong emphasis on communication, mentorship, and delivering high-quality medicine, supported by a sustainable schedule and a forward-looking approach to growth.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a wide range of clinical services including wellness care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and preventative medicine. Responsibilities include performing both routine and complex surgical procedures, managing medical cases, and utilizing diagnostic tools to support treatment plans. The role involves building strong client relationships and working closely with a skilled support team to deliver patient-centered care. Doctor hours follow a four-day work week with every other Saturday. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship available.
Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, every other Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays. The practice is equipped with digital and dental radiology, an in-house laboratory, ultrasound, surgical and therapy laser, capnography, electrocautery, and advanced diagnostic tools including imaging capabilities. Facilities support a variety of services including wellness care, vaccinations, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, laser therapy, euthanasia, nutritional counseling, parasite prevention, microchipping, and in-house pharmacy services. The practice also collaborates with mobile specialists to provide advanced services such as cardiology and internal medicine. The hospital emphasizes high-quality, efficient workflows, strong communication, and future growth, including plans for a new standalone facility.
Team
The team includes a veterinarian with extensive experience supported by four highly trained technicians, creating a collaborative, mentoring-focused environment where teamwork, communication, and professional development are prioritized.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
