Introduction
Our client is a well-established veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This practice has been proudly serving the Houston County community since 1950 and is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to cats and dogs. They are looking for a motivated veterinarian who values collaboration, a supportive culture, and work-life balance.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, with no Sunday hours. There are no after-hours or on-call duties required. The role can be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis, providing flexibility to suit your schedule.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for providing a full range of general practice services, including wellness exams, preventive care, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and geriatric care. The role is open to veterinarians of all experience levels, with strong mentorship and professional development opportunities available.
Practice Details
The hospital is fully equipped with advanced medical technology, including digital radiography, dental radiology, ultrasound, a full Idexx laboratory suite, and a well-equipped surgical suite with multiparameter monitoring and capnography. With a strong reputation built over decades, the practice emphasizes compassionate, professional care and provides a collaborative environment with a skilled and supportive team.
Team
The practice currently has three veterinarians supported by a highly skilled team, including registered veterinary technicians and assistants with additional specialized training. Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
