Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a well-equipped small animal hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team, offering either full-time or part-time opportunities working with dogs and cats.
Role Description and Responsibilities
In this role, you will deliver high-quality veterinary care across a wide range of clinical services, including wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, dentistry, and surgery. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating medical conditions, performing surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, mass removals, and dental surgeries, as well as managing emergency cases when required. You will also be expected to build strong relationships with clients, communicate treatment plans clearly, and collaborate closely with the wider veterinary team to ensure the highest standard of patient care. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.
Practice Details
The hospital is a modern, up-to-date facility with a well-established client base and Fear Free certified staff. It is equipped with advanced technology including digital radiography, ultrasound, an advanced diagnostic lab, an on-site pharmacy, and a fully equipped surgical suite featuring surgical laser equipment and multiparameter monitoring. The practice offers a comprehensive range of services including routine exams, internal medicine, dental care, geriatric care, emergency care, dermatology, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, spaying and neutering, C-sections, ocular procedures, and complex surgeries such as foreign body removal and wound management. Hospital hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with the practice closed on weekends. The environment is collaborative and supported by a broader network that provides professional development opportunities and strong infrastructure.
Team
The team consists of 4 DVMs supported by a great tenured support staff, with a strong 2:1 technician-to-DVM ratio, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
