Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a general practice hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its team. The hospital treats a diverse range of species including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and small mammals, offering a varied caseload within a busy, fast-paced environment. The practice has a strong focus on compassionate, high-quality care and is particularly experienced in exotic medicine and advanced procedures.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide care across wellness, sick, and urgent care appointments, alongside performing surgical and dental procedures. Responsibilities include working up cases using in-house diagnostics and advanced procedures, developing treatment plans, building lasting client relationships, and collaborating with the wider veterinary team. The role offers hands-on opportunities to develop surgical skills, with mentorship available. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates are welcome, with structured mentorship available for a new graduate who is eager to learn and grow.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Services include wellness examinations, dentistry, parasite prevention, vaccinations, surgery, diagnostic testing, advanced diagnostic imaging, spay and neuter procedures, microchipping, urgent care, nutrition, behavior and anxiety support, ophthalmology, dermatology and allergy care, prescriptions, end-of-life support, and rehabilitation. Diagnostic capabilities include blood panels, urinalysis, fecal testing, SNAP tests, digital radiography, ultrasound, electrocardiography, and Doppler blood pressure measurement. The hospital has a busy, high-volume caseload and provides opportunities for clinical development, particularly in surgery.

Team
The hospital has three DVMs supported by an experienced, tenured technician team. The technicians are encouraged to work to the top of their abilities, allowing the veterinarians to focus on medicine, surgery, and patient care. The environment is collaborative and provides mentorship and hands-on learning opportunities for veterinarians looking to further develop their clinical and surgical skills.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
