Our client is a well-established veterinary hospital based in Pearisburg, VA, seeking an experienced full-time or part-time Associate Veterinarian to join their friendly and supportive team. This full-service small animal practice has been a trusted part of the community for years, providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventative care. The hospital is closely connected with a sister location offering collaboration, mentorship, and shared resources while maintaining an independent, close-knit team environment in Pearisburg.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and is closed on weekends, supporting an excellent work-life balance. This position offers flexibility for both full-time and part-time schedules, with no after-hours or emergency duties required. Veterinarians typically work solo shifts at Pearisburg, supported by skilled technicians and client service representatives, with nearby access to additional doctors at the sister location.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role is ideal for an experienced small animal veterinarian who enjoys autonomy while being part of a broader, supportive network. You’ll handle a diverse caseload encompassing wellness care, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, and emergency cases during regular hours, with the opportunity to utilize advanced diagnostic and treatment tools. The position emphasizes compassionate care, client communication, and fostering trust with both pet owners and team members. Candidates who are confident in independent practice but appreciate having a collaborative network nearby will thrive in this role.

Practice Details
The hospital offers a well-equipped, modern facility featuring ultrasound, endoscopy/rhinoscopy, laser therapy, and laser surgery equipment, along with a full range of in-house diagnostics. The hospital provides comprehensive services including preventative and wellness care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, boarding, emergency care during business hours, and end-of-life support. The clinic culture is centered on providing high-quality, stress-free care for patients and maintaining a compassionate, respectful environment for staff and clients alike.

Team
The current Pearisburg team includes one dedicated DVM supported by experienced and dependable technicians and client care staff. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
