Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a privately owned veterinary practice hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The hospital primarily sees cats and dogs and is also open to exotics and pocket pets should the successful candidate wish to offer this service. They are excited to welcome a veterinarian who is eager to grow alongside the practice, contribute ideas, and play an active role in helping the clinic continue to develop and flourish.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays. Ideally, the practice is looking for a veterinarian to work four days per week with every other Saturday, however they are very open to discussion. The role can be full-time or part-time, with complete flexibility offered to suit the right candidate.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care across a range of medical and surgical cases. Your duties will include performing thorough clinical examinations, diagnosing and treating illness and injury, interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing appropriate treatment plans. You will carry out routine surgical procedures, administer medications and vaccines, and provide emergency or urgent care when required. A key part of the role involves delivering preventative healthcare and advising clients on animal health, nutrition, and disease prevention. You will maintain accurate clinical records, ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards, and work collaboratively with the wider veterinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes. Veterinarians of all experience levels are encouraged to apply, including new graduates.

Practice Details
The practice is based in a completely new, purpose-built building of approximately 4000 square feet, built from the ground up. The clinic is very proud to offer a wide range of in-house diagnostic tools, allowing for faster diagnosis and improved patient care. Equipment includes digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, surgical and monitoring equipment, and an in-house laboratory. The team is committed to ongoing learning to ensure the highest level of veterinary care is provided. Services offered by the practice include exams and consultations, vaccinations, surgery, preventative medicine, diagnostics, pharmacy services, nutritional counseling and dental care.

Team
The hospital currently has two DVMs supported by a great team of support staff. The support team plays a vital role in the day-to-day running of the clinic, contributing to a positive, collaborative, and supportive environment. The practice is particularly keen to bring on a veterinarian who is motivated to grow with the team, build long-term relationships with clients and colleagues, and help the practice continue to thrive and flourish.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
