Job Description

Introduction
An AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Paradise Valley, Arizona is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its five-doctor team. Established in 2014, this independently operated hospital is dedicated to building strong, long-term relationships with clients while delivering high-quality, compassionate veterinary care. Both new graduates and experienced doctors are encouraged to apply, with mentorship and collaboration readily available.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm. Doctors work a 3.5 to 4-day schedule, with alternating Saturday shifts. There are no on-call responsibilities, as several emergency and specialty centers are nearby for after-hours support.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive care in general practice, dentistry, and routine surgery. Responsibilities include wellness exams, diagnostics, client communication, and soft tissue surgeries. Doctors are encouraged to pursue their medical interests and are supported with advanced tools and a highly skilled team, ensuring each patient receives thorough and individualized care.

Practice Details
This 6,000 sq. ft. facility is fully equipped with digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, tonometry, an IDEXX in-house laboratory, and paperless records with ImproMed. The hospital also partners with mobile specialists for advanced diagnostics, including echocardiograms, abdominal ultrasounds, and CT imaging. The surgery suite features skylights, modern anesthesia monitoring equipment, and two dedicated technicians per procedure, with pre-anesthetic lab work and IV support standard for every case. A Class IV cold laser is also available for post-operative therapy.

Team
The hospital’s five-doctor team is supported by a well-trained and enthusiastic staff, with a 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio. This highly skilled group enables doctors to be efficient and focus on practicing quality medicine, while also fostering a fun, supportive workplace culture.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
