Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team, working with cats and dogs. They are looking to welcome a dedicated veterinarian who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and building lasting relationships with clients and their pets.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. The role is available as a full-time Associate Veterinarian position, though part-time candidates will also be considered, offering flexibility for the right individual.

Role Description and Responsibilities
In this role, you will deliver clinical excellence by applying your veterinary expertise to diagnose and treat diseases and injuries, prescribe medications, perform surgeries, and develop comprehensive treatment plans. A key part of the position involves building trust with pet owners through clear and compassionate communication, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and home care instructions with professionalism and empathy. You will work collaboratively with veterinary technicians and support staff, providing guidance while valuing their input and expertise to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. The role also has a strong preventive focus, with responsibilities including educating clients about vaccinations, parasite control, nutrition, and early disease detection. The hospital encourages continuous learning, supporting veterinarians in staying current with advancements in veterinary medicine and contributing to a culture of medical excellence and innovation. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with essential facilities including surgical suites, IDEXX in-house lab equipment, and digital radiography to provide quality care for patients. The practice offers a range of services including wellness exams, diagnostics, surgeries, an on-site pharmacy, and a dedicated surgical suite for standard procedures. From routine procedures to complex operations, the hospital’s veterinary surgeons provide top-notch care in a safe, modern facility supported by IDEXX laboratory equipment and digital radiography for comprehensive diagnostics and treatment.

Team
The team currently includes one DVM supported by a dedicated group of support staff. The environment is collaborative and supportive, with team members working closely together to provide excellent patient care while maintaining a positive and cooperative workplace culture.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
