Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a full-service veterinary hospital located in Palmyra, Pennsylvania, currently seeking a part-time Associate Veterinarian to join their supportive and collaborative team. With a strong presence across four locations and a history of serving the community since 1985, the hospital is well-regarded for its comprehensive care and experienced team.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time position. Specific working days and hours can be discussed directly with the clinic to accommodate scheduling preferences. Opportunities for increased hours or a transition to full-time may also be available if desired.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role is suited for an experienced veterinarian with a clinical focus on wellness care, internal medicine, dentistry, and surgery. Responsibilities include performing routine exams, managing preventive care, diagnosing and treating internal conditions, and handling soft tissue, ocular, orthopedic, and dental surgeries. The hospital also provides emergency care services and treats avian and exotic pets, offering exposure to a diverse caseload. Mentorship in surgery is available for those looking to further develop their skills.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with a full suite of diagnostic and treatment tools including digital radiography (including dental), ultrasound, CT scans, ECG/EKG, in-house laboratory, surgical lasers, cold laser therapy, and a rehabilitation center featuring an underwater treadmill, K and cold laser therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, and a land treadmill. Services offered include vaccinations, internal medicine, dental care, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, emergency care, and services for avian and exotic pets.
Team
The team includes 5 DVMs supported by a knowledgeable and well-established support staff. The practice fosters a collaborative and mentoring-focused environment where veterinarians are encouraged to grow professionally while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
