Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a well-established multi-location veterinary hospital serving Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg, Palmyra, and Pine Grove, Pennsylvania. They are seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their supportive and collaborative team. With a strong community presence since 1985, the clinic is committed to providing high-quality veterinary care across a diverse patient base.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. It is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position; specific doctor hours are not detailed and may be discussed directly with the clinic.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role is suited for an experienced veterinarian who is comfortable managing a varied caseload. The position involves routine wellness care, internal medicine, dentistry, emergency cases, and the opportunity to work with avian and exotic pets. The hospital also offers mentorship in surgery for those looking to further develop their surgical skills.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with full in-house labs, digital radiography, ultrasound, CT machine, ECG/EKG, and 24-hour patient monitoring. Their rehabilitation center includes an underwater treadmill, cold and K laser therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, and a land treadmill. Services offered include vaccinations and preventive care, wellness exams, internal medicine, dentistry, emergency care, and treatment of avian and exotic pets. The hospital culture emphasizes clinical excellence, mentorship, and a strong team approach.

Team
The current team includes five DVMs supported by a highly capable and experienced support staff. The work environment is described as collaborative and mentoring-focused, ideal for professionals who value teamwork and continued development.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
