Job Description
Introduction
A well-established AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital in Palmer, Alaska is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its four-doctor team. The practice provides advanced care for both small animals and exotics, supported by state-of-the-art technology and a Fear-Free Certified staff. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian or a new graduate seeking mentorship.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The role is full-time, with participation in a rotating Saturday schedule.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will deliver high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care, while fostering strong client relationships. The role includes wellness care, internal medicine, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and occasional urgent or emergency cases. Collaboration and ongoing professional development are encouraged, with access to advanced equipment such as ultrasound, digital dental radiography, chemotherapy capabilities, and a Snyder ICU unit.

This modern facility is equipped with cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment tools, including Force Triad Ligasure, electrocautery, portable digital dental radiography, and advanced imaging. The practice supports a varied caseload, with opportunities to treat both dogs and cats as well as exotic pets.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
