Job Description
Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited hospital providing comprehensive veterinary care for avians, cats, dogs, pocket pets, rabbits, and reptiles. They are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team on either a full-time or part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for veterinarians looking to work within a progressive, multi-species practice that is committed to high-quality patient care and professional development.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical, surgical, and preventative healthcare services while ensuring exceptional client communication and patient care. Responsibilities include conducting physical examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, developing treatment plans, performing routine and advanced surgical procedures, prescribing medications, interpreting diagnostic tests including laboratory work and imaging, and maintaining accurate medical records.
The successful candidate will work closely with veterinary technicians and support staff to provide efficient patient care, educate pet owners on treatment options and preventative healthcare, and maintain compliance with veterinary regulations, hospital protocols, and professional standards. The role also involves participating in emergency and urgent care cases as required and contributing to a positive, team-oriented clinical environment. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates are encouraged to apply, with dedicated mentorship available for students and new graduates.
Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited hospital offers a wide range of medical, diagnostic, and surgical services for a diverse caseload that includes companion animals and exotic species. The state-of-the-art facility is equipped with advanced technology including a therapeutic laser, ultrasound, echocardiography capabilities, hands-free radiology, full diagnostic equipment, in-house laboratories, and video otoscopy equipment.
The hospital features a modern surgical suite, isolation ward, and boarding facilities to support comprehensive patient care. Services include dermatology, digital radiology, EKG, OFA X-rays, ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery, tonopen diagnostics, ultrasound, dental care, and health certifications. As a dedicated training hospital, the practice regularly works with DVM, veterinary assistant, and veterinary technician interns, creating an engaging and educational clinical environment. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.

The practice is supported by a team of five DVMs and 25 team members who work collaboratively to deliver exceptional patient care. Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
