Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal practice seeking an Associate Veterinarian with potential to grow into a Medical Director and partnership role.. The hospital provides comprehensive care for small animals and emphasizes high-quality, compassionate medicine within a family-oriented and collaborative environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The practice operates Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with Saturday and Sunday closed. The role offers a four-day work week with no weekends, no on-call responsibilities, and consistent weekday hours, supporting work-life balance and flexibility.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage general practice cases, including preventive medicine, wellness exams, and routine soft tissue surgeries. Experience in dentistry is welcome but not required. The position is open to experienced veterinarians and focuses on building leadership skills toward a Medical Director role while maintaining hands-on clinical responsibilities.

Practice Details
The hospital features a modern facility with four exam rooms, a fully equipped surgical suite, dedicated treatment and ICU areas, and private spaces for the Medical Director. Diagnostic and treatment capabilities include digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, in-house IDEXX lab, EKG, and AI-supported patient management systems. Services offered include preventive wellness, sick visits, spay/neuter, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, urgent care for established patients, and advanced imaging. The culture emphasizes client-focused care, professional development, and a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Team
The practice has two veterinarians supported by long-tenured technicians, assistants, and client service representatives. The environment is collaborative and mentoring-focused, with technicians empowered to manage patient care tasks, allowing doctors to focus on medicine and client interactions.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
