Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited small animal practice in Pacific Grove. The hospital provides comprehensive care for cats and dogs and is equipped with modern diagnostic and surgical technology while offering a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The position is full-time preferred, with part-time availability also considered. Weekend coverage is required on a rotating basis.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a caseload ranging from routine wellness to more involved medical cases and surgery. Clinical responsibilities include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, dental radiography, diagnostic imaging, ultrasound, EKG, cryosurgery, anesthesia, geriatric medicine, pain management, and routine procedures. The role is open to experienced veterinarians as well as new graduates, with a supportive and collaborative environment committed to fear-free techniques.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA-accredited and equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, diagnostic imaging, cryosurgery, EKG, a tonopen, in-house endoscopy, an in-house laboratory, an in-house pharmacy, and an in-office surgical suite. Services offered include anesthesia, dental care, dentistry, ear checks, euthanasia services, full diagnostics, general surgery, geriatric medicine, health certificates and exams, hospitalization, pain management, pet loss support, routine surgeries, and spays and neuters. The practice maintains a high standard of preventive and healing care through a skilled veterinary and support team trained in the latest procedures and medicines.

Team
The hospital team consists of 1 DVM, 3 assistants including one RVT, and 2 other support staff who work together to deliver compassionate, high-quality veterinary care within a friendly and collaborative environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
