Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital that has been part of the Owosso community since 1953 and is hiring an Associate Veterinarian. They are open to welcoming either a full-time or part-time veterinarian to join their team, providing care for cats and dogs.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves the full scope of general practice responsibilities, including wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry. Doctor hours are open to discussion, offering flexibility for the successful candidate. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services, including wellness, preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry, alongside laser therapy and orthopedic surgery. The practice is well equipped and features five exam rooms, a surgery suite with three tables, and a dedicated dental suite. Hospital opening hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with three Saturdays worked each month, and the hospital is closed on Sundays.
Team
The team consists of five veterinarians supported by a strong technician-to-doctor ratio.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
