Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a mixed animal veterinary clinic seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to focus exclusively on small animal medicine. The role provides the opportunity to deliver comprehensive companion animal care within a supportive, community-focused practice with a loyal and growing client base. The position is suitable for both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive small animal care including wellness and preventative medicine, puppy and kitten visits, diagnostics, urgent care, dentistry, surgery, and end-of-life care. Surgical procedures include spays, neuters, mass removals, and other procedures utilizing surgical laser technology. The veterinarian will also provide client education and build ongoing relationships with patients and their owners. Full-time doctors work a four-day week with rotating Saturdays. New graduates are encouraged to apply, with mentorship available to support their clinical development.
Practice Details
The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Diagnostic and clinical capabilities include radiography, dental radiography, in-house laboratory testing, urinalysis, surgical laser technology, laser therapy, and an in-house pharmacy. Services include wellness and preventative care, diagnostics, dermatology, dentistry, urgent care, surgery, chiropractic care, nutrition, obedience training, and end-of-life care. Although the wider clinic provides mixed animal medicine, this position is dedicated specifically to the small animal caseload.
Team
The clinic has seven DVMs supported by an established veterinary support team. The practice emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, professional growth, and a positive working culture, with strong support available for doctors as they develop their skills and clinical interests.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
