A modern urgent care veterinary hospital in Oro Valley, Arizona, is seeking a part-time veterinarian to join its growing team. Opened in May 2024, this hospital bridges the gap between general practice and emergency medicine by providing after-hours care without the added expense of an emergency clinic. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates during afternoons and evenings, with no overnight shifts required. Veterinarians have flexible scheduling options available to accommodate work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Urgent Care Veterinarian will manage a variety of urgent cases for canine and feline patients, including wound treatment, ear infections, gastrointestinal illness, and end-of-life care. Responsibilities include performing examinations, diagnostics, and treatments while ensuring clear and compassionate communication with clients. Doctors are encouraged to collaborate with the clinical team, engage with the community, and contribute to the development of hospital protocols. There are no wellness visits, spays, neuters, or abdominal surgeries, allowing doctors to focus exclusively on urgent and acute care.

Practice Details
This modern facility was purpose-built for urgent care, with open spaces, calming design, and advanced technology. The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, a full suite of IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment, cloud-based electronic medical records, and ultrasound. The design supports efficient single-doctor shifts, supported by a strong and experienced technical team. A Fear Free approach and feline-friendly certification ensure a positive experience for both pets and clients.

Team
You will be supported by a skilled and compassionate technical staff trained in emergency triage and urgent care medicine. The team emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning, with internal training opportunities to advance skills. New graduates with a strong interest in urgent care will be supported through mentorship, while experienced doctors will have the freedom to lead and shape the practice.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
